Colin Powell’s TED Talk on the Importance of Structure in Children

In this video, Colin Powell provides interesting insight on the need for structure (especially in children). I’ve read many of the Youtube comments, and a lot of hate for this video is because of his time in the Bush administration and not because of what he is actually saying in the video. However, there were some who argued that structure impedes and stunts creativity, making children mindless drones. However, I would argue the opposite; structure actually sparks creativity and free-thinking by allowing children to have a foundation in which to build off of. A lot of successful people are stickler for routines and structure.  Anyhow, go ahead and watch the video below and tell me what you think.
