Meet Tim, The Only Restaurant Owner with Down’s Syndrome

EE Edit@rs · January 6, 2014 · Leave a Comment

Tim is a restaurant owner (and an Olympic athlete). Tim also has Down’s Syndrome. Down’s Syndrome is a genetic disorder caused by the presence of all or part of a third coy of chromosome 21. The average IQ of young adults with Down’s is around 50 (whereas 70 is defined as the cut-off for intellectual disability). Tim is a fascinating character so make sure you stop by his restaurant (Tim’s Place) whenever you are in Albuquerque, New Mexico—they give out free hugs.
