I came across this information concerning lung health from the Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance. When people think about keeping their lungs healthy, the first thing that comes to mind is quitting smoking or never starting. Smoking is the main cause of lung cancer, but pollutants also play a role in lung functionality and overall health. For example, there’s a rare but devastating cancer called mesothelioma that is found in the lungs in most cases. Caused directly by asbestos exposure, mesothelioma is 100% preventable. Although it is no longer Lung Cancer Awareness Month, I still think the infographic is important information. If you are interested in knowing more about lung health, check below.
